Our Founder & Executive Director

George W. Trice

George Trice is the Founder and Executive Director of the Trice Legacy Foundation, an organization he established in 2020 to honor the legacy, values, and enduring impact of Jack Trice. Under George’s leadership, the Foundation advances educational equity, leadership development, and community engagement initiatives that reflect resilience, character, and opportunity.

Professionally, George brings extensive experience in the insurance and financial services industry. Over the course of his career, he has held leadership and underwriting roles at both Nationwide Insurance and Travelers. His experience spans commercial underwriting, risk assessment, sales leadership, and operational management. He has served in progressive positions, including Commercial Underwriter, Underwriting Manager, Sales Manager, and Operations Director, leading teams, driving performance strategy, and managing complex portfolios. His background in risk management, strategic planning, operational leadership, and stakeholder engagement provides a disciplined governance and execution framework for the Foundation’s mission-driven work.

George holds a Master’s degree in Marketing from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Iowa State University. He also earned a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion certificate from Cornell University, reinforcing his commitment to inclusive leadership and equitable access to opportunity—principles central to the Foundation’s programming and partnerships.

As Executive Director, George focuses on strategic growth, sustainable funding models, corporate and community partnerships, and long-term impact measurement. His leadership philosophy integrates disciplined organizational management with purpose-driven storytelling, ensuring that the legacy of Jack Trice continues to inspire future generations.

George’s work is rooted in honoring history while building forward—creating pathways that empower young leaders to carry resilience, integrity, and excellence into their own communities.

Doug Jeske

Doug Jeske is a former senior leader at Meyocks, a nationally recognized branding and marketing agency specializing in agriculture, food, health, and mentor-driven brands. With decades of experience in strategic marketing, brand development, and organizational leadership, Doug has helped guide purpose-driven companies to clarify their message, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and accelerate growth.

Doug brings to the Trice Legacy Foundation deep expertise in brand strategy, communications, and mission-centered storytelling. His insight supports the Foundation’s efforts to elevate awareness, expand partnerships, and amplify the enduring legacy of Jack Trice through impactful, values-driven engagement.

Dr. Thomas Hill

Dr. Thomas Hill is a distinguished higher education leader who previously served as Vice President for Student Affairs at Iowa State University. In this role, he provided executive oversight for student engagement, campus life, student support services, and leadership development initiatives, helping to foster a campus environment centered on academic success, inclusion, and student well-being.

With decades of experience in student affairs and university administration, Dr. Hill is recognized for his steady leadership, commitment to equity and access, and dedication to empowering students to thrive both academically and personally. His experience in institutional strategy and student development brings valuable insight to mission-driven organizations committed to educational excellence.

Advisory Board Member

Jill Wagner

A former Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Frontier Communications, she built a distinguished career in telecommunications before retiring from corporate leadership.

She is a past president of the ISU Alumni Association Board of Directors, has served on the Ivy College of Business Dean’s Advisory Council and the Jack Trice Centennial Commemoration Committee, and has been a Foundation Governor since 1990. As a student, she made history as Iowa State’s first elected female student body president (1975–76) and was an advocate in the campaign to name the football stadium after Jack Trice.

As an Advisory Board Member of the Trice Legacy Foundation, she brings decades of leadership, philanthropy, and deep commitment to preserving and advancing the legacy of Jack Trice.
